Bradford White · Water heating & boilers
Excellent equipment. Excellent installation.
Choosing a water heater or boiler takes more than picking a model from a brochure. We evaluate hot-water demand, gas supply, venting, water quality, and heating load before recommending equipment.

Our philosophy
Don’t start with a model number. Start with the house.
The best water heater or boiler isn’t automatically the largest, newest, or most expensive. It’s the system that fits the building, the available utilities, and the way your family actually uses hot water and heat.
There’s no single best water heater for every New Jersey home. A conventional atmospheric water heater may be exactly right for one house, while another benefits from an Infiniti® tankless system or a Brute FT® combination boiler.
So we evaluate the whole installation first: hot-water demand, heating requirements, gas capacity, venting, combustion air, chimney condition, water quality, condensate disposal, electrical requirements, and future maintenance.

Choose the right technology
Three solutions. Three very different applications.
We help you understand the strengths, limitations, and installation requirements of each system before you make the investment.
Atmospheric gas water heaters
Simple, proven storage with the Defender Safety System®, Vitraglas® lining, and ICON System® gas control. Often a good fit for a dependable replacement where a suitable chimney or natural-draft vent already exists.
Infiniti® tankless
Continuous hot water when correctly sized, compact wall mounting, and high-efficiency condensing operation on natural gas or propane. A good fit when gas, venting, electrical, and water conditions support the conversion.
Brute FT® combination boiler
Space heating and domestic hot water from one compact, condensing appliance with a stainless-steel heat exchanger. A good fit for homes with baseboard, radiant-floor, or other hydronic heat, sized to the actual heating load.
Before you choose tankless
Five things we check first.
Tankless can be an excellent solution, but the house has to support it. New Jersey’s cold winter inlet water limits how much hot water a unit can produce, so the number of bathrooms alone doesn’t determine capacity.
Hot-water demand
Showers, sinks, appliances, tubs, and how many fixtures may run at the same time.
Gas supply
High-input tankless appliances can need far more instantaneous gas than the appliance they replace.
Venting
Condensing appliances need approved intake and exhaust materials, routing, clearances, and terminations.
Condensate
High-efficiency equipment creates condensate that must be safely and correctly drained.
Water quality
Hardness and minerals affect heat-transfer surfaces, filters, and long-term maintenance.
Measured, not guessed
Our most important tool? The combustion analyzer.
A modern gas appliance can’t be judged by a blue flame, or by the fact that the water gets hot.
During startup and service, a calibrated combustion analyzer measures O₂ and CO₂, carbon monoxide, flue temperature, and efficiency, so the technician can compare actual performance with the manufacturer’s specifications.
Our objective isn’t just to make the equipment turn on. It’s to install it, commission it, and verify its operation.

Why Mr. Tankless
Understand the system before you buy it.
You shouldn’t have to become a plumber to buy a water heater, but you should know what you’re paying for. Before work starts, we explain:
- Why we selected the proposed equipment
- How capacity was determined
- Gas-line considerations
- Venting requirements
- Water-quality considerations
- Expected maintenance
- Advantages of the proposed system
- Limitations and tradeoffs
- Alternative solutions when appropriate
- Startup and combustion testing
Mr. Tankless is an independent plumbing contractor listed through Bradford White’s contractor-finding resources. We aren’t Bradford White employees, and a directory listing isn’t manufacturer certification or endorsement.
What to expect
Our Bradford White installation process.
Before the first wrench turns, you’ll know what’s being installed, why it was selected, and what the work includes.
Home evaluation
We inspect the existing appliance, gas supply, piping, venting, drainage, utilities, and location.
Load & demand analysis
We evaluate realistic hot-water demand and, for boilers, the building’s heating requirement.
Equipment recommendation
We explain the proposed system, the reasons behind it, and reasonable alternatives.
Professional installation
Installed to manufacturer requirements and applicable codes, with clean workmanship.
Startup & testing
We verify operation and perform startup, safety, and combustion procedures.
Homeowner orientation
Before we leave, we explain the controls, operation, and recommended maintenance.
Bradford White FAQ
Questions homeowners ask us.
Good equipment still depends on proper selection, installation, startup, and maintenance.
Is a Bradford White tankless water heater better than a tank?
Not automatically. Tankless can provide continuous hot water, high efficiency, and space savings, but a conversion may need more gas piping, venting, electrical, and condensate work. In some homes a properly sized conventional Bradford White tank is the more practical choice.
Will a tankless water heater give me instant hot water?
Tankless means the appliance heats water on demand. It doesn’t mean hot water instantly appears at a distant faucet: pipe length and any recirculation system affect how quickly hot water reaches each fixture.
Can a Brute FT combi replace both my boiler and water heater?
In many hydronic-heating homes, yes. But it has to satisfy both the home’s heating requirement and peak hot-water demand, so the existing system and building load should be evaluated first.
Why not just replace my old boiler with the same BTU size?
Older boilers are often oversized, and homes change through insulation, new windows, additions, or remodeled radiation. We evaluate the actual heating requirement rather than copying the old nameplate.
Do tankless water heaters need maintenance?
Yes. Depending on the equipment, water quality, and usage, tankless and condensing equipment can need periodic inspection, inlet-filter cleaning, condensate checks, and descaling.
Can you replace another brand with Bradford White equipment?
In many cases, yes. We first evaluate gas capacity, venting, plumbing, electrical requirements, water conditions, and location to choose the best replacement approach.
